University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is looking to put a contract in place for the provision of a service to provide the photocopying of patients' notes on behalf of the Health Records Department. The demands on the service have increased steadily since the introduction of legislation which stipulates the records are available within 1 month.The Medical Records Department deals not only with requests from our own Trust, but also from other agencies who are dealing with potential litigation against other Trusts, and these requests need to be dealt with promptly and accurately.
