Descriptions

The purpose of the Black Carbon Network Contract is to manage and operate the monitoring of Black Carbon at the fourteen sites in the UK. The scope of the services to be provided includes, but is not limited to: • Management and operation of the monitoring sites • Provision/Co-ordination of Local Site Operators (LSOs) where applicable • Provision of consumables (tape) • Provision of equipment support and maintenance for all sites as detailed • Assisting with procurement of equipment as required • Collecting and storing data from all sites on the network • Provision of quality assurance for all data collated • Dissemination to Defra's Data and Dissemination Unit including participation in UK-Air data provider meetings • Adhering to health and safety legislation including production of risk registers, method statements and risk assessments as required • Support for ad-hoc requests on information regarding the networks, its operation and data
