The definition of supervised contact in context of this service is contact arranged for children who are:— subject of care proceedings (as defined by the Children Act 1989),— where proceedings have ended and children & YP remain in the care of the Local Authority,— provided with accommodation by the Local Authority under Section 20 of the Children Act 1989.For all these children the risks and concerns regarding the significant adults in their immediate and extended family are such that supervised contact needs to be fully supervised monitored and recorded.
