Descriptions
This contract notice advertises a waste treatment contract proposed to be let by Ceredigion County Council. It is envisaged that this will be a short-term contract for the treatment of food waste by anaerobic digestion or other biological treatment process and the beneficial use of residues. The solution should include, but not be limited to, where appropriate, the management, storage, treatment, sale, removal, recycling and/or disposal of products (including any energy), process residues and rejects. The estimated tonnage of food waste to be treated on behalf of Ceredigion County Council is around 1,200 tonnes per annum. Tonnages are expected to be low at the start of the contract, building up in stages to the estimated amount towards the end of the contract period. Actual tonnages may differ significantly from the estimated annual total.
