Contracting for Availability (CFA) solution for the River Class Offshore Patrol Vessels HMS TYNE, SEVERN and MERSEY. The CFA arrangement will require the successful bidder to deliver a high level of availability, Material Available Vessel Days (MAVDs), in the order of 960 days per year across the Class of three vessels. The vessels currently conduct operations in UK and near continental waters. The main elements of the CFA requirement, to be undertaken bythe successful bidder, are: Availability Management; Maintenance Management; Supply Chain Management; Design Management; Capability Upgrade Management; and Obsolescence Management.
