The City of Edinburgh Councils Strategic Asset Management department, manage the use/condition of the Council's operational property portfolio, and the investment in upgrading building conditions. They - Develop the Council's Corporate Asset Strategy - Survey the Council's operational property to Develop, commission and monitor proposals to upgrade operational property - Compile management information on the Council's estate - Work with service areas to support their asset strategies - Reshape the Council's estate to ensure it is the right size and fit for purpose - Develop strategies for the efficient use of space - Respond to changing property needs emerging from the Council-wide Transformation Programme - Emergency Works In order to deliver the Council priorities and for the city to grow in a sustainable way, the Council needs to invest in its existing assets as well as creating new ones. The City of Edinburgh Council require a multi lot framework agreement to deliver repair, maintenance and upgrade capital works across its estate. The City of Edinburgh Council's Strategic Asset Management and Sustainable Development department require contractors to deliver the Capital Investment Programme and meet other construction needs for their commercial properties over the next four years. These properties include schools, libraries, social work facilities, and other commercial buildings. The Council will shortly be inviting parties to tender to become a framework contractor of these works within Edinburgh. Despite funding challenges, the Council has a substantial budget to deliver works over the next four years, this framework presents an opportunity to work with the Council to create a sustainable future for Edinburgh's commercial properties. With the renewal of this Framework Agreement, the Council is looking to establish a group of contractors committed to delivering the Council’s vision for the creation of high quality, vibrant and sustainable places in our city. The opportunity is expected to be advertised early 2025. This market consultation exercise is an opportunity for potential bidders to participate in shaping the Council’s strategy for this procurement and gain insight to the market It should be noted that Bidders will need to sign up to the Councils Construction Charter and evidence Fair Work Practices. The delivery of Community Benefits will be a requirement of this framework and subsequent call of contracts, examples of these are attached for your information.
