Powys County Council is looking for expressions of interest from a suitably experienced organisation who is able to provide a co-ordinated volunteer family support service to offer regular support, friendship and practical parenting advice to families in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and improve confidence and positive outcomes for families.The service will have the following main objectives/outcomes:- To recruit and train volunteers to provide parenting advice, practical advice and support to families in need in their own homes.- To provide peripatetic holistic support that strengthens and supports the skills of families with children aged 0-12 years.- To support and encourage families to use universal services as a single agency or as part of a multi-agency team in support of TAF/Early Help.- To adhere to the Welsh Government guidance as best practice on delivering parenting support.The service would also help to promote social cohesion in communities by supporting family events during weekends/school holidays in conjunction with Powys’ Early Help Team and relevant partners.- Providers, potential providers and interested parties are invited to attend a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event during w/c 8th July (exact date & venue TBC)NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=93402.
