Cotoneaster Control- Moel Hiraddug
Descriptions
Cotoneaster species were originally introduced to the UK from Asia in the 19th century as an ornamental garden species. Since then, these species have spread widely across the UK including to important limestone crags, cliffs, slopes and dry grasslands in north Wales.As part of the Cotoneaster Control Project this contract will aim to control non-native cotoneaster species on part of a limestone grassland Site of Special Scientific Interest at Moel Hiraddug in north Wales.The contractor will employ multiple different methods of treatment, following the guidelines provided. Treatment will include foliar spraying, stump treatment and the use of weed wipers.
