Descriptions

The provision of a Comprehensive Accreditation Service that will ensure that all property building construction and maintenance contractors, tree and grounds maintenance contractors used by Devon County Council and partner authorities meet certain key standards in health and safety, insurance, trade accreditations and financial soundness as well as other requirements more specifically identified within the tender pack. The scheme may later be expanded to include contractors in other areas of works, goods and services supplied to Devon County Council and partner authorities. The Scheme will also be open to use by other public sector bodies within Devon and Somerset specifically these include Devon County Council, Somerset County Council, East Devon District Council, Exeter City Council, Mid Devon District Council, North Devon District Council, South Hams District Council, Teignbridge District Council, Torridge District Council, West Devon Borough Council, Mendip District Council, Sedgemoor District Council, South Somerset District Council, Taunton Deane District Council, West Somerset District Council, Torbay Council, Plymouth City Council, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, Devon and Cornwall Police, University of Exeter, University of Plymouth, The University Centre Yeovil, Exeter College, Petroc College, Bicton College, South Devon College, Dartington College, Plymouth College of Art and Design, Plymouth College, Bridgwater College, Richard Huish College, Somerset College, Strode College, any maintained school within Devon and Somerset, any academy within Devon and Somerset, any Housing Authorities or Associations, Health Authorities, Trusts or other local public service providers within Devon and Somerset, any National Health Services and Primary Care Trusts within Devon and Somerset.
