CP2345-23 HUG 2 - Retrofit Advice Service

Descriptions

Energy Saving Devon was set up in 2022. It is a not for profit partnership between all the local authorities in Devon administered by Devon County Council. ESDs vision is to make every house in Devon regenerative healthy to live in and affordable to run by supporting homeowners to carry out retrofit upgrades to their home. This has been identified as a key part of the Devon Carbon Plan. The purpose of the retrofit advice service is to be the first point of contact for people who live in Devon who are interested in upgrading the thermal efficiency of their homes. It will provide energy saving advice, set expectations, check eligibility for grant funding, advise on options for retrofit and signpost to affiliated organisations for them to take the next steps. The advice service will provide homeowners with initial information on grant funding and financial support that may be available to them and carry out initial eligibility checks to determine which schemes they qualify for. If eligible for multiple funding streams, the advisor will direct them to the most appropriate and impactful option
