The service entails the provision and maintenance of suitable textile storage banks at various locations specified in the contract into which the members of the public may deposit their textile waste.Textile waste may also be stockpiled by Devon authorities at their depots as part of their kerb-side collection schemes. For the purpose of this notice, Devon authorities include Devon County Council, Torbay Council, the District Councils of North Devon, Torridge, South Hams, Teignbridge, Mid-Devon, East Devon, West Devon Borough Council and Exeter City Council who will participate in the Contract from its commencement date.The service provider will collect Textile Waste from storage banks or specified stockpiles and facilitate their recycling or re-use.The service is not divided into lots as such division is considered to lead to some areas of Devon that are more difficult to service to be left with no service provision.
