The design and delivery of accessible tier 2 lifestyle weight management services for overweight and obese children and young people in Devon. The service/s should support children and young people reach and maintain a healthier weight as measured by Body Mass Index (BMI). There are three separate elements to the service:Lot 1: Children aged 2-5 years old and their families.Lot 2: Children aged 5-11 years old and their families.Lot 3: Young people aged 11-18 years old and their families.Lot 4: Training for Professionals who have a role in promoting healthy weight management in Devon:The design and delivery of a suite of training modules to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills of professionals in a position to help their patients/clients achieve and maintain a healthy weight.During the evaluation and financial due diligence stage, there was an announcement to the effect that Public Health budget for year 2015/16 will be lower than forecast. Therefore, consideration was given to which services needed to be reduced to control the impact of the deficit. Therefore, the decision was taken to proceed with the award of Lots 1 and 4 only, and to not proceed with awarding Lots 2 or 3.
