DWP appointed a creative agency to; develop a creative proposition and approach (designing a ‘look and feel’ for a new marketing campaign), develop key messages and refresh the Disability Confident branding. The aims for the 2016/17 phase of the campaign are to: Reinvigorate the campaign, build awareness of and ramp up both support and positive sentiment for DWP aims and the Disability Confident brand. Challenge the perceptions and attitudes of employers – in particular SMEs - and increase the belief that employing and/or retaining a disabled person is something their business could do easily. Encourage employers of all sizes to register for Disability Confident online, complete a self-assessment, and get access to the help, support and tools that will enable them to improve how they attract, recruit and retain disabled people in their business.
