Descriptions
The station has three working studios as well as the use of a shared room for bigger groups. The studios are OnAir Studio1 (Main), Studio 2 (Production), Studio 3, and the shared room is a large meeting room upstairs, shared with Boardroom users. The latter room currently has wiring in place to contribute programming via Studio 1 when larger groups need to be accommodated. In such cases, a portable audio mixing desk is used to pre-mix the microphones being fed to the Main Studio.Studio 1 will be rebuilt and re-equipped with modern sound-proofing incorporated throughout during the building works. Studio 3 will be moved, enlarged and re-built; some existing materials to be re-used, eg current sound-proofed glazing. Consultancy at the planning phase, supervision at the building phase and inspection on handover will be required to be delivered by the successful tenderer as part of the works being quoted for. This liaison requirement should be included in the response to the tender.
