BEIS are looking for an expert in their field with a strong network of contacts across their industry to act as an alternate delegate for the International Energy Agency's Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP) on Energy in Buildings and Communities (EBC). The key tasks associated with the role of alternate delegate are: •Represent the UK in Executive Committee (ExCo) Meetings. •Act as the primary liaison between the UK National Team and the TCP. The primary aims of this commission are to ensure: •The UK takes an active role in participation, management and development of the EBC and the EBC's activities are beneficial to the UK. •The activities of EBC are fully disseminated to relevant UK stakeholders, including government, industry and academic organisations. •Joined-up activities across related TCPs to avoid duplication and maximise added-value through joint working. Specific objectives required to fulfil these aims include: •Participate in ExCo meetings (minimum 1 per year). The location of any future meetings are as yet unknown but the Alternate Delegate should be prepared and eligible to travel worldwide. •Participate in ad-hoc workshops and meetings as necessary, pursuant to the requirements of the ExCo. •Provide expert review and comment for relevant documents and proposals outside of ExCo meetings, including review of new proposals. •Where appropriate, investigate opportunities to link up with other related TCPs. •Promote and disseminate EBC TCP activities.
