To change the palette and enhance the space of Market Square and Greenmarket in Carlisle City Centre, resulting in the area becoming more of a focal point for residents and visitors. The project will increase and retain footfall and become a unique multifunctional events space that encourage people to gather.r r Brief description of the work, the nature of the works, key components, and any significant constraints:r - Take the design for the scheme from the current concept through to detailed design.r - Replacement paving of the area, ensuring that quality and local characteristics are upheldr - Relocation of War Memorialr - Inclusion of soft landscaping and new lightingr - Part of the works take place in the pedestrianised area in the city centrer - This project requires direct liaison with adjacent commercial propertiesr - Works must be completed by 30 April 2024; this is a requirement of the external funding partner, interested suppliers must provide confirmation that they can adequately resource the works to complete prior to this date.
