The Cwm Taf Local Health Board (the "Health Board") seeks, as part of its integrated healthcare strategy for primary care premises, to appoint a suitably qualified developer/contractor to design and build a new healthcare resource centre (the "Centre") at a suitable location to replace the three current GP practises in the Aberdare area whose premises are no longer fit for purpose. In addition to providing GP services to the local population, the Centre will also provide community dental and health services. The appointed contractor will be required to grant the LHB a head lease for a minimum period of 20 years. It is envisaged that the development costs will be funded over the term of the lease by way of rental payments.
