Cwmni’r Frân Wen is looking to appointment of Consultants to undertake the business plan for the proposed new offices and rehearsal facilities on the Part of Fron Site, off The Crescent, Bangor.Cwmni’r Frân Wen is a theatre company for children and young people currently based in The Old School Building in Menai Bridge, Anglesey. The organisation is revenue funded by the Arts Council of Wales (ACW).It places the aspirations of children and young people at the heart of its programme of activities and integral to the company’s strategic development. It empowers the creativity of children and young people by creating and presenting high quality theatre and participatory projects that are ambitious, progressive and relevant. It takes pride in the Welsh language and in contemporary Wales within an international context.Frân Wen has been working on a proposal to move from its current location at The Old Primary School and create a new creative hub, specifically geared for children and young people in Bangor, Gwynedd, to serve the young people of Gwynedd, Anglesey, Conwy and beyond. This building will need to be one that creates the best possible environment to encourage both creativity and prosperity for the company reflecting one of its key strategic objectives. The Arts Council of Wales has acknowledged this new development as a strategic priority for the organisation and will create the best environment possible to ensure the prosperity of its creativity.They have now been able to secure an outline agreement for a site for the proposed scheme (see Document 2 Appendix A Site location Plan) and have secured ACW funding to allow them to progress the scheme through the feasibility stage. This document sets out the instructions for the submission of tenders for undertaking a Business Plan for the proposed new offices and rehearsal studio for Cwmni’r Fran Wen.Ymgynghoriaeth Gwynedd Consultancy (YGC) have been appointed to manage the Feasibility Stage of the project.The requirements of the Business Plan are briefly summarised below and described in detail in Document 3 Scope of Service;-Detailed discussions with Cwmni'r Frân Wen and key stakeholders to gain a complete understanding of the organisation, its strategic objectives and its aims for the building.-A business plan for the delivery of the capital project, including critical pathways and timescales, including te Identification of appropriate potential sources of grant funding to support the development of the new building.-A business plan for the sustainable operation of the building once the build phase has been completed; to include the day to day operation and management and governance of both the building and the Theatre Company itself.-Detailed Income and expenditure projections will need to be produced at both stages; these will need to be revised and tested at the end of stage one-The study is to be undertaken in two phases;-Phase 1 - Business Plan and Outline Funding Strategy for the development of the Building.
