NHS Grampian was planning to equip the John Mallard Scottish PET Centre with a new cyclotron which must have met the requirements detailed within the NHS requirement in the tender documents.Installation into a hospital setting was required by the Q1 2019.This replacement was to be a turnkey procurement which would require the decommissioning and disposal of the existing machine.The John Mallard PET Centre had an RDS111 cyclotron in place supported by Siemens. The system was then 21 years old and was used predominately for the production of 18F and occasionally 11C.The procurement had to be Turnkey including but not limited to the installation of the final core system but should also include the supply of any specialized equipment, connection to the existing infrastructure, installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ) and performance qualification (PQ).
