DARD – Forest Service Mulching Of Burnt Trees on Forest Service Sites.
Descriptions
The Forest Service invited offers from competent tenderers to clear a range of sites using a mechanical mulcher so that subsequent ground preparation and restocking can be completed. The crops to be cleared will mostly include areas damaged by fire or affected by plant disease. The majority of the burnt sites will consist mainly of sitka spruce trees while the majority of disease affected sites will consist of larch trees. Clearance includes the burnt or disease affected trees, live trees as indicated by the Forester and also broadleaved trees which have naturally regenerated within the site.
