The project will strengthen the identity of rural Carmarthenshire as a place to live and visit by promoting the distinctiveness of rural communities by conserving the rural heritage and culture of rural Carmarthenshire, protecting and enhancing the area’s natural environment through protecting the area’s biodiversity and improving the quality of life for rural communities and to instil a sense of place.The purpose of this tender is to appoint a suitable organisation to deliver the ‘Darganfod Sir Gar’ grant scheme in rural wards of Carmarthenshire on behalf of the Carmarthenshire Partnership – Grwp Cefn Gwlad and the Lead Body. The specific objectives of the grant scheme are: - To promote the distinctiveness of rural communities by conserving the rural heritage and culture of rural Carmarthenshire; - To protect and enhance the area’s natural environment through protecting the area’s biodiversity; - To improve the quality of life for rural communities and to instil a sense of place.The project comprises of a £579,870 capital grant scheme designed to promote the distinctiveness of rural Carmarthenshire in terms of its natural and cultural heritage in rural CarmarthenshireThe following capital grants will be made available: - Cultural heritage grants of up to £15,000 to promote the local cultural heritage of rural communities; - Biodiversity grants of up to £5,000 to protect and enhance the area’s natural heritage.The maximum total contract value is £384,311 which is inclusive of match funding. There is a minimum requirement for the supplier to contribute 26.21% match funding owards the total contract cost.
