Cranfield University requires a Design Team to progress from initial design brief conception through to completion.The Lead Designer for this project will be expected to act as Principle Designer, produce designer risk assessments, environmental assessment and ensure that all contractors comply with the University’s rules of engagement of contractors.The appointed Lead Designer will also hold responsibility for commissioning any required specialist advice throughout the duration of the project e.g. an acoustician, BREEAM advisor.Tenderers are required to provide (as a minimum) sketches of proposals that would be utilized as part of the presentation/ interview if shortlisted. Tenderers are allowed to submit a number of options within their proposal highlighting the innovations and benefits of each.Cranfield University expects final construction costs of desired building to be not greater than £7.5m.
