Awarded
Data & Discovery - Flood Coastal Resilience Improvement Programme
Descriptions
In the 2020 Budget, the government announced £200 million for the Flood & Coastal Resilience Innovation Programme (FCRIP). Included in this is £150m for 25 local areas to demonstrate how practical innovative actions can work to improve resilience to flooding and coastal erosion. A key focus for the programme team is to provide a package of strategic support to enable projects to capture, evaluate and share learning. One recommendation was the need to support the 25 projects with the collection, reporting and analysis of resilience data, to provide a data platform, and to clarify how each project could use data to capture and share the learning from their flood and innovative resilience actions. There is a need to address the data and information recommendations provided, which include: 1.Projects want visibility of existing evidence and data (internal and external to the EA) 2.Projects want support in brokering access to data sets (internal and external to the EA 3.Projects want to know programme expectations around data, information and knowledge collection, storage and sharing 4.Broad desire to share and facilitate access to data beyond programme boundaries
