DBC (AL) Leverstock Stock Green Village Shopping Parade Roof Replacement

Descriptions

Leverstock Green Shopping Parade is a well-used local centre serving the surrounding residential community. The parade consists of several retail units and is an important hub for both residents and local businesses.

The existing roof structure covering the shopping units has been assessed and found to be beyond economic repair. As such, a full roof replacement is required to ensure the ongoing integrity and safety of the premises. Above the retail units are residential flats, which are set back from the roofline, but the presence of residents should be taken into account when planning and delivering the works.

The Council is seeking to appoint a competent and experienced roofing contractor to undertake the roof replacement to a high standard of quality and workmanship, while minimising disruption to both the shops, which will remain open during the works, and to the wider community. It is essential that access to the shops for deliveries is maintained wherever possible, and that appropriate measures are put in place to manage dust, noise, and site safety throughout the project.
