Suppliers are invited to quote for Dacorum Borough Councils Festive Lighting and the Provision of Christmas Trees. This has been divided in to two separate lots and suppliers can tender for either lot or both. Lot 1 Festive Lighting Dacorum Borough Council (the “Council”) is tendering in relation to its Christmas Lights for Hemel Hempstead Town Centre, Hemel Hempstead Old Town and Tring. Period of contract: The initial contract term is 2 years at which point it will be reviewed, with the option to extend for a further 2 years. This is a fixed budget tender. The total budget available for the specification (excluding option on Christmas Trees) is £25,000. Tenderers must provide the best possible solution for this price. Minimum Criteria/Technical Ability: •PLG-06 states that the contractor should be HERS registered and this is something that Hertfordshire County Council is moving towards insisting upon in the future. •Ensure that any contractor or sub-contractor is suitably competent and qualified to perform the tasks being undertaken. Lot 2 - Real Christmas Trees Fixed annual Budget - £3,500 We require two real Christmas trees ‘Norwegian spruce’ 32’ and 35’ to be located in two Hemel Hempstead locations, plus on site weekly checks and maintenance to ensure stability and safety of tree..
