DBC (SF) Media Partner to manage & schedule content on public big screen

Project Requirements The Council are looking for a media partner to manage and schedule content plus maintain the big LED screen located outside in Hemel Hempstead town centre pedestrian shopping area while generating income through advertising sales. Contract Period: The contract will be for a 5 year period with a start date during April/May 2016. Background information Hemel Hempstead, population circa 90,000 has recently been the subject of a large regeneration programme with the council spending £30 million upgrading the public realm in the town centre. As part of the project, around £4 million has been spent on Marlowes, the main pedestrianised shopping street running through the town centre. This included five new planters incorporating innovative play equipment for children, an avenue of trees, attractive paving, modern street furniture and lighting and an improved food court. At the heart of the town a vibrant performance space has been created, known as ‘New Town Square’. This consists of the Rainbow Stage – a public facility available for bookings, an interactive fountain with music and lights and a large 2m by 3m LED screen.
