Decommissioning of Analogue VHF Radio Mast Sites

Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust (WAST) is currently rolling out digital radio technology across the Wales. Consequently, there is a requirement to decommission, de-install and dispose of all Analogue radio systems and associated equipment, located in 56 locations across the Wales.In general terms, the decommissioning scope of works includes the following:•Identification and recording of what equipment needs to be decommissioned•Powering-down the equipment•De-installing the equipment and de-cabling the equipment rooms•Removal of antenna and associated feeder systems•Removal and/or destruction of all configuration data•Appropriate handling of any hazardous material encountered•Disposal of all equipment according to applicable law and regulations•Civil works to make good•Project managing the programme of works•Keeping the Trust informed of progress, risks and issues.
