The project will seek to engage with social enterprises and communities to increase awareness of social enterprises and create a deeper understanding of the scope and impact of social enterprises across the region. The project will involve a number of networking/ training events for social enterprise, regional events to celebrate and promote social enterprises and the creation of a series of videos to promote local social enterprise across the region Specifically, the high-level objectives for this project are: • Organise three networking events across the region (for example, Galway, Sligo and Donegal) o These events should also celebrate the best of social enterprises in the region o They should provide a means to identify problems that can be addressed by social innovation o They should identify ways in which social enterprises can work together • Publicise a Social Innovation Challenge • Publicise the WDC Social Enterprise Strategy • Create Social media content to promote social enterprise in the WDC region • Promote a Social Innovation Challenge • Promote the WDC social enterprise heatmap
