Delivery of Engine Support to Maintain the Capability of MoD Boats

Boats:The CSS Boats team is responsible for maintaining worldwide delivery of safe, capable and available craft to a diverse user community (Royal Navy (RN), Royal Marines (RM), Army, MOD Police (MDP), MOD A Block, Permanent Joint Operating Bases (PJOB), Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA), Cadets) thus enabling them to carry out their endorsed tasking in roles relating to maritime operations, responsive force, adaptive force, extended readiness and training, as well as Adventurous Training and Cadet Forces. The CSS Boats portfolio consists of circa 2200 craft across 110 classes.This Framework Agreement is to provide in-service support to the inboard and outboard engines which support that fleet, thus providing capability to the user community. All work will be tasked on a task-by-task basis, however can broadly be expected to include but not be limited to:i. transportation of engines to and from the boat’s location (both inside and outside the UK) to the Contractor’s premises;ii. strip, survey and quotation;iii. service and overhaul;iv. rebuild;v. technical support to the Authority;vi. technical support to platform contractors;vii. storage;viii. supply of spares;ix. Post Design Services (PDS);x. safety compliance, including undertaking the development of Safety and Environmental cases and delivery of associated Safety and Environmental Reports;xi. configuration management, obsolescence management and documentation management;xii. Project Management Support Services.
