Delivery of Support, Skills Development and Training Opportunities for People in the CommunityContract - PINShort DescriptionKent County Council are looking to add new providers to the Delivery of Support, SkillsDevelopment and Training Opportunities for People in the Community contract (EDLA) inApril 2023. Existing providers on the new EDLA Contract which went live on 1 October 2022need not re-apply only unless they want to be considered for lots they are not currently partof (not including lot1b which is now closed).The new arrangements are more flexible than the previous day opportunities contract, forexample, in terms of units and methods of delivery following learning from the pandemicand will evolve over the life of the contract. There is a focus upon making a positivedifference for the people we support every day, ensuring that they live as full and safe a lifeas possible and make informed choices. It is expected that the opportunity including allassociated documentation will be published on the 16th of January 2023, with a start date forhe new contractual arrangements of the 1st of April 2023 for new providers.The Prior information notice (PIN) is however, issued solely for the purpose of notifying themarket of the intention to procure these services.Interested parties will not be prejudiced or advantaged by any response or lack thereof tohe PIN and a response to this PIN does not guarantee any invitation to participate in anyfuture procurement.This PIN does not constitute a call for competition to procure any services for the Council.Description of the Procurement:The Council intends to add providers to the current Delivery of Support, Skills Developmentand Training Opportunities for People in the Community contract to join in April 2023.To express your interest in this notice, and to be notified of any future procurementopportunities for these services, providers should email communitywellbeing@kent.gov.uk
