North West Regional College (NWRC) is 1 of 6 Further and Higher Education Colleges in Northern Ireland. The Hospitality and Catering section of NWRC is one of the main areas within the College's School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport. With almost 1 500 full and part time students the section has a proven track record for attracting a diverse range of students to its courses, and enjoys a high turnover of student progression onto further and higher learning, and directly into positions of employment. There is an extensive culinary service provided by the section, regularly attracting College students, guests and staff, as well as enjoying a growing customer base from across the North West. It has 5 professional kitchens allowing students to develop professional competence in industry standard facilities. These resources also provide a daily Brassiere service to College students and staff, and offer an exciting fine-dining experience through various themed cuisine events for the public. The contract will be subdivided into Lots and NWRC wishes to appoint a Contractor for each of the following Lots. — Lot 1 — Beef, Lamb, Poultry and Pork and Bacon — Lot 2 — Fresh Fruit and Vegetables. The appointment will be for an initial period of 2 years effective from the award date with a possible 1 year extension.
