Descriptions
Tidal Energy Limited (TEL) is a privately owned technology development company exclusively developing an innovative tidal stream generator, known as DeltaStream. TEL has identified a demonstration test site at Ramsey Sound, Pembrokeshire and has obtained the necessary consent licences to install the device on the seabed for a 12 month test period in 2012. Under this contract TEL requires the services of a marine operator to obtain seabed rock core samples from the intended deployment site. The recovered core samples will be need to be delivered intact to enable compression testing required to identify the geotechnical characteristics for design the foundation.
