Demolition of Buildings on Two Former Comprehensive School Sites

Caerphilly County Borough Council has a requirement to demolish two sites within the borough namely, Oakdale and Pontllanfraith Comprehensive Schools.Expressions of interest are therefore sought from suitably qualified and experienced demolition contractors within the market capable of undertaking this piece of work.It is the Council's intention to issue the tender in two lots as follows:Lot 1 - Demolition of Oakdale Comprehensive SchoolLot 2 - Demolition of Pontllanfraith Comprehensive SchoolContractors shall note that the lotting strategy for this procurement will allow bidders to price for Lot 1 only or Lot 2 only or both Lots 1 and Lot 2 together.It must be noted that the Council requires the contracts to run concurrently for both lot 1 and lot 2 and therefore only those contractors capable of undertaking both lots concurrently should apply for both lots.Please note that whilst the work at both sites will start together, we are allowing an additional 6 weeks work at the Pontllanfraith Comprehensive School Site (Lot 2)Contractors shall note that this Speculative notice is to formally advise the supply chain of the Council's intention to carry out this piece of work and is a non obligatory notice.
