Portsmouth City Council (the 'Council') is inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified contractors for major demolition and dredging works at Portsmouth Harbour. Once completed, the works will provide an improved and safer access to Flathouse and Albert Johnson Quays.Estimated value of the works is approximately GBP 3.2 M. The Council is targeting to have awarded the contract by 7.10.2014 and will require that the successful contractor commences works by mid November 2014. The Council envisages that the works will then take six months to complete. The form of contract used will be the 'Form of Direct Contract (2012 Edition)' prepared by the National Federation of Demolition Contractors.The deadline for submission of requests for clarification is 14.7.2014 23:59 and the deadline for submission of completed pre-qualification questionnaires is 21.7.2014 16:00. The target date for issue of tender documentation to shortlisted contractors is 4.8.2014.
