This notice at this stage is to purely gather market intelligence for the requirement detailed below. There is no guarantee that any competitive exercise will follow this exercise.Existing Denbighshire School NetworksIn Denbighshire the Schools’ ICT network is set up in the following way. Denbighshire Central ICT provide access to, and the monitoring of, the Internet to all schools. On each school site the ICT network is split into Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs, also referred to as networks)-:• Admin network for access to the corporate network and applications;•Curriculum network for school pupils to access Internet applications;•Higher Curriculum or Teacher network on some school sites for teachers who need to access both Admin and Curriculum networks.The Admin network is currently outsourced to a single third party provider under a managed service contract and is administered by the Local Authority. This contract is due to end on 31st August 2019. Schools individually contract a range of third party ICT providers for their Curriculum/Teachers networks and these contracts end on a range of dates between from now until 2022.ObjectivesThe objectives at this stage are to consider innovative, cost effective solutions for the schools’ networks moving forward, in the provision of:•PSBA compliant access from schools to the Denbighshire County Council Corporate Network for some school users•a suitable infrastructure to support network access for teaching staff and pupils to a range of curriculum resources. Compliance with regulations on all networks will be managed by the Local Authority through a governance framework
