Department Health and Social Care - Adult Social Care: Technology Standards
Descriptions
The government has announced plans to set new national standards and trusted guidance on the best technology in care. See announcement: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-reforms-and-independent-commission-to-transform-social-care This is because care technology has a key enabling-role in supporting the Government’s 3 Health Mission strategic shifts: 1) From hospital to the community-based care. 2) From treatment to prevention. 3) From analogue to digital. To shape these new standards and guidance, and as part of the policy development and implementation, we are seeking input from a broad range of stakeholders, including: • Care technology suppliers. • Care technology innovators and start-ups. • Suppliers of technology that could be used in a care setting. • Industry and representative bodies for care technology and tech enabled care services. • Standards assurance suppliers for technology (including software and hardware assurance). • Certification or accreditation bodies/suppliers for technology (including software and hardware assurance). • Bodies/suppliers of standards for technology and digital goods Please respond to this notice by registering your interest on the Atamis Portal https://atamis-1928.my.site.com/s/Welcome.
