The design and construction of Berth 4:— A 430 m extension of the existing deep-water quay,— Mooring Dolphin,— fenders, bollards and other quayside furniture,— heavy-duty rails and foundations for quay cranes,— dredging of the berth pocket and approaches,— berth pocket scour protection,— earthworks, removal of existing surcharge material and ground improvement,— 10 on shore stacks to be operated by automated stacking cranes (ASCs),— reefer frames,— heavy duty pavements and other surfacing,— surface water drainage,— hazardous container storage including pipework and holding tanks for contaminated effluent,— fire mains and associated pits and valves,— HV, LV and communications conduits/pits,— LV and HV electrical works including sub-stations, switchgear and transformers,— earthing systems,— electrical control and protection systems,— lighting,— testing and commissioning.
