Design and manufacture up to 24 linear generators to fit drive train manufactured for a wave energy

The scope of work is estimated to be up to a maximum value of £400k and will include the design and manufacture of bespoke linear generators to develop an output of between 20Kw and 50Kw within a given wave climate.The first batch (of up to a maximum of 6) must be ready for delivery by Jan 31 2017 with approx. size, weight and footprint details available before the end of 2016.The successful tender should be able to supply evidence of the following:* Expertise in designing linear motors/generators.* Experience in in manufacturing linear motors/generators* Reliability data from their previous products.* The ability to meet the very tight manufacturing timescales.Design work rates should also be supplied and an estimate of the design time required.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=56843.
