DESIGN & SUPPLY OF MOBILE DENTAL UNIT FOR THE ELDERLEY

The North Wales Business Support Partnership (NWBSP) on behalf of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board (BCULHB) invites expressions of interest to tender for the design and build of a single mobile dental unit for the North Wales Community Dental Service (NWCDS).The mobile dental unit is required to be used in old people’s homes with full wheelchair access around the dental chair.The BCULHB will purchase an Iveco ML75E16S with 4455mm wheelbase or similar chassis/cab depending on availability and have it delivered to the successful contractor.The successful contractor will be expected to design a unit incorporating all the items in the specification including cabinetry and dental equipment and produce a drawing to be signed off by representatives of BCULHB before 10th January 2011 and go into production Jan 2011 for completion no later than the 31st March 2011.IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE HAVE DELIVERY OF THE FULLY COMPLETED UNIT BY THE 31ST MARCH 2011 AND WE ADVISE NO CONTRACTOR TO RESPOND TO THIS ADVERT WHO CAN'T FULFILL THIS REQUIREMENT.The successful contractor will be expected to design an innovative vehicle designed for wheelchair and limited movement patients.The contractor will be expected to supply references for whom they have built mobile dental units in the past.The style of the manufacturers design must show all storage areas for filing, draw units, cupboards, garage space for dental cart, mains distribution, waste and water hose, water heaters, waste bin, cleaning materials, generator, compressor etc.The BCULHB may decide to fit a hydraulic pod to the vehicle to increase surgery space & storage.Full specification and requirements will be supplied to all suppliers that express an interest in this advert with the tender documents. All documents will be sent to suppliers on or after the 12/12/2010 which is the closing date for this advert.
