Design Brief for the Cambridge Corn Exchange’s 150th Anniversary Exhibition
Descriptions
The Cambridge Corn Exchange are seeking a designer who will work collaboratively with our exhibition team to develop the look and feel of our new exhibition to launch in February 2026. The selected designer will produce a set of assets that can be used throughout the design of the exhibition and in marketing materials. The requirements are summarised below, but will be subject to more detailed discussion.
• The design and layout of an introductory panel.
• Information panel templates for six different themes. Each panel will have a header and roughly 150 words of text as well as one or two photos.
• A design scheme for a 6m x 2m display wall with photos of previous performances at Cambridge Corn Exchange.
• A design template to be used for miscellaneous panels such as acknowledgements and guidance panels.
• Social media design assets to market the exhibition.
We have a preference for designs to be delivered using Canva so that we can easily use the templates to input the text and images for final use and adapt if needed.
The exhibition and marketing assets will need to meet The National Lottery Heritage Fund’s acknowledgement requirements and digital requirements. The NLHF acknowledgement toolkit sets out the specific requirements for exhibitions and social media.
Please provide by Monday 3 November 2025 at 12pm:
• a 1-2 page written expression of interest
• a portfolio of relevant projects
• two references from previous similar projects
Submissions should be addressed to Rosie Amos, Heritage Project Manager, via the Council’s procurement portal.
