Design, Fabrication, Installation and Commission of an Internal Work at Height Training Facility

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service on behalf of themselves, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, will soon be seeking quotations from companies interested in undertaking the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of a working at height training facility within its Urban Search and Rescue training building at our Earlswood Training site in Jersey Marine, Neath, SA10 6NG.The procurement will deliver the provision of design, fabrication, installation and commission of an internal working at height facility within a portal frame industrial unit. This will be utilised to facilitate working at height/rope rescue training for operational emergency service personnel.The quotation opportunity will be advertised on the 2nd January 2019 with a closing date of the 16th January 2019 and an anticipated contract start date of the 1st February 2019. All work must be completed and the invoice submitted by no later than 15th March 2019.The contract period will be as per the programme delivery you provide in your response with a 12-month defect liability period.In order to prepare your quotation, the contractor shall be expected to visit the USAR Training Building at Earlswood in order to determine the size of the area the training unit will need to occupy. Claims for additional works etc. will not be accepted if prior knowledge of the site has not been sought prior to appointment. Site visits can be accommodated up to the 21st December 2018.
