Background information on the work of Social Care Wales can be found on our website https://socialcare.wales/about.The Dementia Action Plan for Wales was launched last year, which included a number of commitments around learning and development supported by the Good Work framework. The Dementia Learning and Development group has been established to help us take forward those actions.The need for resources that embed a strengths-based and reabling approach to supporting people with dementia has been identified through a number of our engagement activities.We now want to develop something distinct and different from traditional classroom-based training resources. The purpose will be to upskill front line care and support workers to take a reabling approach to supporting people living with dementia and their families.
