The aim of this contract will be to:• Develop a range of web based lesson plans and imaginative and participative resources to support the teaching of the UNCRC element of the new PSE framework for primary and secondary age children and young people; and the promotion and awareness raising of the UNCRC relevant for a broader age range of children and young people 0-25 year olds.• Promote and raise awareness of the UNCRC and address low levels of awareness amongst children and young people and set within a context of broader Human Rights in order to develop their personal and social skills.• Acknowledge that through raising awareness and knowledge of rights, the resulting access to exercise their rights will increase and this will bring with it opportunities to access services to develop skills and achieve improved outcomes and wellbeing. THE REQUIREMENTSSuccessful contractors will be required to: • Build upon the previous resources identified and where appropriate integrate elements of existing resource content (identified by the resource mapping exercise) into new innovative resources;• Consider the relevant information and recommendations made by the recent resource mapping exercise and how they can be addressed when developing a range of imaginative, accessible resources (such as lesson plans, videos, games, DVDs, case studies etc.);• Develop, pilot, evaluate and produce a range of imaginative and participative resources to support the teaching of the UNCRC element of the new PSE framework across all age ranges and abilities in schools and in out of school settings; • Develop resources in order to support and give guidance for delivery; • Produce and implement an outline communication plan with a view to promoting and encouraging the use of the resources and making them visible and accessible to the target audience.The project will be split into 3 lots. A bidder may bid for any or all lots, but must submit a separate bid for each lot, answering the particular criteria. The lots are outlined below:Lot 1 - Develop a range of innovative, engaging and interactive resources to promote and raise awareness of the UNCRC that are relevant for the entire primary age range that are aligned with the PSE framework Successful contractors will be required to:• Develop all materials relevant for the entire primary age range that are aligned with the PSE framework for the 7-11 age group;• Produce a range of innovative, engaging and interactive web based resources. These will be expected to include, as a minimum, but are not restricted to IT resources, activity based resources and written resources.• Develop and evaluate all materials in consultation and with participation of the relevant target audience; including teachers, PSE Advisors and children, distilling relevant key messages;• Produce a final version of each product amended to take into account feedback from the evaluated pilots;• Produce a summary report relating to the resource developed and the evaluated pilot.Lot 2 - Develop a range of innovative, engaging and interactive resources to promote and raise awareness of the UNCRC that are relevant for the entire secondary age range that are aligned with the PSE frameworkSuccessful contractors will be required to:• Develop all materials relevant for the entire secondary age range that are aligned with the PSE framework for the 11-19 age group;• Produce a range of innovative, engaging and interactive web based resources. These will be expected to include, as a minimum, but are not restricted to IT resources, activity based resources and written resources;• Develop and evaluate all materials in consultation and with participation of the relevant target audience; including teachers, PSE Advisors and young people, distilling relevant key messages;• Produce a final version of each product amended to take into account feedback from the evaluated pilots;• Produce a summary report relating to the resource developed and the evaluated pilot;• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained by young people (11-19) as a result of being involved in this project using relevant tools from the Demonstrating Success HandbookLot 3 - Develop a range of innovative, engaging and interactive resources to promote and raise awareness of the UNCRC that are relevant for a broader age range of children and young people 0-25 year olds Successful contractors will be required to:• Develop materials relevant for a broad age range of 0-25 year olds, both pre (under 7) and post (over 16) curriculum and for curriculum aged children outside of the school system;• Produce a range of innovative, engaging and interactive web based resources. These will be expected to include, as a minimum, but are not restricted to IT resources, activity based resources and written resources;• Develop and evaluate all materials in consultation and with participation of the relevant target audience; including teachers, youth workers, child minders, other non formal educational settings, children and young people, distilling relevant key messages;• Produce a final version of each product amended to take into account feedback from the evaluated pilots;• Produce a summary report relating to the resource developed and the evaluated pilot;• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained by young people (11-19) as a result of being involved in this project using relevant tools from the Demonstrating Success Handbook
