Descriptions
The objective of this requirement is to identify a Supplier/s who can implement a programme to release land previously considered hazardous from mines and explosive remnants of war, and to provide mine risk education to communities at risk. The projects will be implemented in Mozambique, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam and Sri Lanka and we will accept proposals for any 1 or all 5 of the countries. The proposed value of the contracts is up to: 7 600 000 GBP for the 3 SE Asia countries: Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The actual funds allocated will depend on the predicted quantifiable benefits and VfM of the tenders. There is 1 500 000 GBP for Mozambique and 1 600 000 GBP for Sri Lanka. These projects are part of a broader 30 000 000 GBP UK mine action programme which will be implemented in up to 11 countries worldwide. These projects form part of Phase 1 of this programme. The aim of these projects is to increase security, enhance livelihoods, and enable broader humanitarian and development projects to be implemented.
