The contract comprises the development of five sites located at Monreith, Newton Stewart, Castle Douglas and Dumfries to provide 74 houses/flats, 2 shop units and 3 self-build plots.The work involves mainly low rise housing of timber frame construction but also comprises the development of a town centre site within a conservation area for housing and shops with a steel or concrete framed strcuture and off-site pre-fabricated units. The construction of roads, footpaths, sewers, house drainage, paving, fencing, soft and hard landscaping and site servicing is also included.
