Fáilte Ireland are seeking a strategic design partner to work with us to refresh our corporate identity, including the core logo, it’s application and develop detailed usage guidelines. The existing corporate identity has been in place for 15 years - since Fáilte Ireland was created. In that time the tourism industry in Ireland has changed considerably. In 2007 the tourism industry delivered €7.2b in expenditure and €1.7b in exchequer revenue, sustaining communities and driving regional development in a manner that most other industries struggle to deliver. Tourism is the fourth largest sector of employment in Ireland, ahead of Education, construction and Agriculture. Fáilte Ireland has been a driving force in the growth and development of the tourism industry and it is time for our identity to be brought up to date and accurately represent the vibrant, dynamic industry that we champion. More recently, Fáilte Ireland have developed numerous consumer facing regional brands (i.e. Dublin, Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Ancient East, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, Meet in Ireland) which bring to life the magic and beauty to be discovered around Ireland. Our desire is to refresh the corporate identity to bring it more in line. While this is the anticipated scope of this contract, Fáilte Ireland reserve the right to expand the scope of the project within the duration of the contract to include further brands, if required.
