Ireland is going through accelerated growth in the renewable energy industry due to climate and external pressures. The onshore wind capacity is targeted to double by the end of 2030 and the offshore wind capacity will have to go from near zero to exceed the current total installed capacity of wind in the same timeframe. This sets the stage for a giant demand on skills and human capital. The TNP funded by Skillnet Ireland from the National Training Fund through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science provides impactful learning at reduced costs to employees of private companies from micro up to multinational, Semi-State companies and even sole traders.
