Somerset County Council and Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group are jointly seeking to hear from organisations that might be interested in delivering a Direct Payment and Personal Health Budgets Support and Advice Service for the people of Somerset., The aim of this service is to improve people’s lives through promoting their independence and working much more collaboratively across statutory services to ensure that they get the best possible help, when they need it. The service will support people with a Direct Payment and/or a Personal Health Budget as well as individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Direct Payments who have an Educational Health and Care Budget. Activities will include supporting people with planning, research and budgeting for their Direct Payment and/or Personal Health Budget by providing information and advice as well as direct support, including payroll services, to enable them to meet the outcomes agreed within their Care and Support Plan through putting arrangements in place in line with Somerset’s procedures and requirements.
