Disc Stack Centrifuge

Descriptions

De-sludging centrifuge (separator/clarifier)The BEACON biorefining centre of excellence comprises a pilot scale plug-and-play biorefinery. We have a requirement for a skid mounted disc stack clarifying centrifuge (capable of automatically de-sludging the spun solids) to remove fine material from an aqueous feedstock stream at approximately 500-1000 litres/hr.Although we are a research facility within a University and will need to use the separator with other (non-hazardous) liquors, our main feedstock comprises processed forage grass juice.Disc stack separator with self-cleaning disc-bowlAll these points require a yes/no answer. A no response would indicate that the equipment was unsuitable for our purposes•It must be capable of clarifying a food/feed grade (non-hazardous) liquor containing approximately 2-4% w/w solid material.•It must be capable of a throughput of at least 1000 litres per hour.•It must be skid mounted and portable (preferably with heavy duty wheels).•Centrifuge and all parts contacting the feedstock and separated products must be of food grade quality non-ferrous material (stainless steel).•It should be capable of automatic de-sludging of the separator bowl.•The bowl volume should be approximately 3 litres.•Volume of room for sludge should be approximately 1.5 litres.•It should have a separate control panel with provision for motor start and control of the automated de-sludging valve.•Normal working temperature 4-45°C, maximum 70°C (this would allow to run straight from a pasteuriser). These points are for information only•There is NO requirement for ATEX.The equipment can be new or factory refurbished. If refurbished it must not already have been subject to any Welsh Government or EU grant. The bidder must attach a complete specification for the equipment in question.Timescale and costDelivery within 12 weeks of orderIncoterm: DDPPrice not to exceed £42,000 including VAT, shipping, installation, initial training and minimum 6 month warranty.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=22461.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
