DIVE FRAMEWORK 2023-2028
Descriptions
The purpose of this dive framework is the provision of a dive team to undertake structural inspections to the Port's maritime structures and assets including reactive requirements for diving services with a view to identifying asset condition and defects. The service shall take place in all of the Harbour environs and marine structures of the Port, within the Eastern and Western Docks (including the seafront). Assets that are likely to require inspection, of varying construction forms (mass concrete, reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, timber), include: Aprons; Bankseats; Breakwaters; Culverts; Dock gates; Dolphins; Fenders; Jetties; Piers; Pontoons; and Quay walls. The following planned and reactive (emergency call out) diving services are envisaged for the commission: •Below waterline visual dive inspections, with ability to take photographs, videos, measurements of defects. •Above waterline shallow water, i.e. wader inspections with ability to take photographs, videos, measurements of defects. •Non-destructive testing •Underwater Remote Operational Vehicles (ROV) for areas inaccessible for Divers. •Production and furnishing of reports associated with the above. The exact format & structure of the reports is to be agreed with the Employer. •Production and furnishing of drawings associated with the above.
